Nalina is an associate in the firm’s employment practice group, holding a Bachelor of Laws (First Class) from the National University of Malaysia (UKM). She is one of only two graduates in her cohort to receive the prestigious Royal Award, conferred personally by the 11th Yang di-Pertuan Besar of Negeri Sembilan. She was admitted as an advocate and solicitor of the High Court of Malaya in December 2020.

Nalina has built extensive expertise in employment law, advising both individuals and corporations on dismissals, retrenchments, restructuring, performance management, misconduct, workplace investigations, mutual separation schemes, policies and handbooks, confidentiality breaches, and compliance with Malaysian labour laws. She regularly represents clients in Industrial Court proceedings. Nalina also gained in-house experience through a secondment with the employment legal team of a multinational Chinese technology company, where she supported complex employee relations matters, sensitive workplace investigations, and legal transitions following amendments to the Employment Act.

Complementing her employment practice, Nalina has experience in commercial litigation across contracts, construction, maritime, and competition law, which strengthens her ability to advise on employment issues with broader commercial and regulatory implications. She has also conducted training for private corporations on employment law and industrial relations.
