About the Role – Employment Associate
We are looking for a dedicated lawyer to join our highly regarded employment practice group, reporting directly to Donovan Cheah. In this role, you will work closely with our clients, providing strategic and practical advice on a wide range of employment law matters
Key Responsibilities:
- Representing employers in unfair dismissal claims at the Industrial Court, as well as handling related appeals and judicial reviews.
- Representing employers in other types of employment disputes, including civil claims.
- Providing pre-dispute advisory, including:
- Workforce downsizing, restructuring, and reorganization exercises.
- Dismissal management for misconduct or poor performance, including advising on domestic inquiries and performance improvement plans.
- Advising on allegations of constructive dismissal.
- Reviewing and drafting employment-related documents, such as employment agreements, handbooks, policies, procedures, and correspondence.
- Advising on day-to-day HR and employment law issues, ensuring compliance and best practices.

Key Requirements
Salary and Benefits
- Up to RM6,500 basic salary depending on candidate’s experience and qualifications
- Parking allowance
