Rui Thong graduated with an LLB (Hons) from Taylor’s University in 2022 and attained her Certificate in Legal Practice in 2023. She later obtained a Master of Commercial Law from the University of Malaya in 2024.
Rui Thong first joined the firm as an intern in 2022 and returned in 2024 to commence her pupillage. In 2025, she was admitted and enrolled as an advocate and solicitor of the High Court of Malaya.
As an Associate in the firm’s corporate and commercial practice group, Rui Thong works on a diverse range of contractual and corporate matters. This includes equity fundraising, venture debt financing, merger and acquisitions as well as advertising, marketing and regulatory compliance exercises, among others.
