Chung Wai is a dispute resolution lawyer with a focus on shareholder and corporate disputes. His practice centres on minority oppression actions, directors’ duties, derivative claims, and complex shareholder conflicts arising from breakdowns in private and family-owned companies. He regularly advises shareholders, boards, and companies on strategy, corporate governance risk, and contentious proceedings.

His portfolio extends to commercial and contractual disputes, negligence claims, automotive disputes, securities litigation, and consumer protection matters. He has appeared at all levels of the courts and has represented clients in both domestic and international commercial arbitrations.

Beyond corporate and commercial litigation, Chung Wai advises private clients on estate planning, succession, estate administration, and private wealth disputes. He approaches sensitive family and wealth-related matters with discretion and strategic clarity.

He is a contributor to the Malaysian Civil Procedure (2021 & 2024 editions) and the Annotated Statues of Malaysia – Companies Commission of Malaysia Act 2001 (Act 614).
